Portland, Tennessee – The North American Stamping Group is announcing today the commencement of its third major investment in Mexico. This capital project includes the second expansion, of 86,000 square feet, to our existing facility, which will grow the site to 245,000 square feet.
An additional investment to the facility is a 1500 ton press, with a 96” x 256” bed, supplied by Eagle Press. The line will be equipped with a dual head Linear Servo transfer system and a Coe feed line system.
This additional commitment by NASG reflects our continued support to our existing customers that are growing in the region and to our team in Mexico that continues to drive superior manufacturing performance.
When this expansion is completed, the NASG manufacturing footprint will include 1.1 million square feet covering the NAFTA region. The group includes seven stamping facilities in Canada, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee with three and Mexico. Our equipment and process offerings includes 93 press lines with both progressive and servo transfer capabilities, resistance and mig welding, grinding, vibratory finishing, washing and assembly. Supporting the stamping facilities is our Technical Center which moved into its own facility this spring with a 1600 ton tryout press.
