INTRODUCTION

  • North American Stamping Group (formerly Cambridge Investments), a privately held company was formed in 1968.

  • The Stamping Division was started in 1979. Each company is separately incorporated and run as a stand-alone unit. To improve customer service/support we have centralized all Sales and Engineering into two centers at our NASG Canada and NASG TNN2 (also our corporate headquarters) facilities. Our Tier 1 customers can communicate with one of the two centers for, design, RFQ’s, APQP, tool builds, VA /VE, etc. Customer products are then manufactured at a choice of our seven facilities to minimize freight cost while maximizing all lean manufacturing principles. Through our new Tech Center and a large network of tooling suppliers we can offer program management, new tooling, CAD-CAM support and prototypes.

  • Sales are $345 million annually with an associate level of 925. Our organization has been profitable through the years and debt levels are low. Group stamping sales have increased 19% annually for each of the last four years.

  • NASG is one of the largest tier II stampers / assemblers in North America. Our manufacturing footprint allows full coverage of the NAFTA market from Canada, through the southern USA and down through Mexico.

  • With our Tech Center, over 90 stamping presses, over 1,000,000 square feet of manufacturing and most importantly 925 inspired associates we are well equipped to handle the larger global architecture platforms that will be used in multiple facilities throughout North America.

  • Our Canadian facility has more than 20 years of extensive experience supplying stampings to the exhaust industry. Our product focus includes both light and heavy gauge exhaust, seat components, as well as specialized sub-assemblies. Unique innovations such as our in-die welding technology and in- die tapping have given us a competitive advantage in high volume applications.

  • We opened our Tech Center in 2013. Due to its success and the ever increasing shortage of new tooling capacity in North America, we have procured a separate facility which will launch in 2015 to expand operations.

  • Two of the Tennessee facilities combined are the dominant manufacturers of ride control stampings, for both shocks and struts, in the United States. Our customers control the majority of original equipment and aftermarket business. The third Tennessee facility, started in 2014, is dedicated to exhaust and seating stampings and assemblies.

  • Our Ohio facility specializes in heavy duty brake components for the truck, bus and trailer markets.

  • Our Indiana facility specializes in the noise, vibration and harshness market. Body mounts, engine mounts, inner and outer vibration components for passenger, light car and commercial vehicle are produced.

  • Our Mexico facility will offer ride control, exhaust, door hinge and seating components.

  • All facilities are Tier II automotive suppliers. In addition to metal stampings, we offer secondary operations in resistance welding, mig welding, tapping, deburring, washing, riveting and assembly. All operations are TS16949 registered. In 2014 and 2015  we will register all facilities in ISO14001.

  • NASG has benchmarked our Quality Production systems after the Toyota Production system. All associates are members on associate involvement teams. We ensure ongoing training. We provide an environment that allows for open communication, participation and continual upgrading of skill levels. In turn our associates drive quality improvements and cost reductions through their implemented suggestions and teamwork.
