North American Stamping Group (NASG) realizes that apprentices have a crucial role in our ongoing economic recovery – especially in manufacturing. The number of open manufacturing jobs is higher than the availability of skilled workers. In January, NASG launched its own Press Operator Apprenticeship program. Larry Dickens, Training Manager and Rick Burt, Apprenticeship Instructor, will lead this one-year program. We have 7 team members currently in the program and they are off to a great start as they begin their 3rd month of training. Group 1 includes: Michael Evans, Drake Whitney and Ashton Gentry. Group 2 includes: Dacoyte Richards, Dawson Kennedy, Ethan Riley and Gerald Holla. NASG Mentors who will be providing the hands on training include: Alec Bossart, David Sedlecky, Jeffrey Dahlin, Wayne Clinard and Ben Briley. NASG is proud of these team members for making a commitment to the program and planning for their future.
